The Monument to the Martyrs of Liberty was a place of democratic memory emblematic of the city of Alicante, which the Francoist authorities eliminated in the immediate postwar period. After the centenary of its inauguration, the University of Alicante has contributed to preserve the memory with an exhibition that compiles documents, historical information and a significant sample of various postcards illustrated with the photographs of the Monument to the Martyrs of Liberty, which preserve the memory of the main place of democratic memory absent from Alicante.
Exhibition from the 5th to the 15th of March at the University of Alicante. Avenue Ramón y Cajal, 4.
Conference. The two memories by Augusto Serrano López (University of Honduras). March 5 at 7:00 p.m.
L'altra ràdio and Cocodril Club programs call for the creation of a Radio Museum in Barcelona. A didactic and recreational center dedicated to preserve the sound memory of the radio media, the construction of a historical story of its professionals and the promotion of the use of sound language, as an expressive and creative tool.
The compilation of the sound material, together with the personification of the story through the great names of the radio or the archaeological compilation of the technical material are some of the axes on which this petition is based.
