The ORTF (Office of radiodiffusion television française) had of a radio service in differed that operated through programs recorded in disks of vinyl. Therefore no issued in direct. Said recordings were distributed by the French embassies to the emisoras of the respective countries of influence, like form of propaganda and advertising of all the French. With the arrival of Ramón Chao ahead of this department around the middle of the sixty, posed include to Spain in the network of distribution, taking advantage of the politics of “opening” initiated by the team of the Minister Manuel Fraga Iribarne. Like this they began to spread radio programs such as Paris to the Speech and Appointment in Paris, created to half way between the high culture and the light culture, with the aim to contribute to the cultural change that was operand in Spain.
They Would be a series of magacines cultural similar to the ones of “evasión”, although his authentic nature was very distinct . It spoke of a much freer world and less austero, especially in what to the relations between men and women refer , as also to the social paper of the woman in the new times.
Appointment in Paris, as magacín specifically feminine, promoted a type of morals very distinct to the promoted by the Franco regime. It showed no only the life and the successes of the foreign artists, but also of the common French women, nourishing the wish of the listeners to follow his example. Nevertheless, unlike the press “pink” of the period (saving some worthy exceptions), the ORTF portrayed to the woman like worker that occupied a place in the public space, and no only in the domestic and familiar. Even the freedom for maquillarse and to choose dress, was a reflection of the rest of freedoms.
Of this way the French culture (of western European cut and democratic) played an essential paper in the development of the cultural change that went developing along the decade. A cultural change without which can not understand the back process of the political transition to the democracy in Spain.
It conserves a long series of broadcasts, dated between 1966 and 1975. Good part of the contents went devoted to the world of the fashion, the description of the main Parisian enclaves from the historical and tourist point of view, beside interviews to famous characters, amenizado with French songs, and the description of some woman highlighted in the history of France. Everything of similar form -saving the distances- to the program Between us, of Adelita of the Field, but presented of form more frivolous, although no thus less effective, being a strategy to evade the censorship.
